On Summer Camp

"As for the summer Camp program. One word, inspirational. Not only do they perform a theater production but over the time frame of 2 or 5 weeks they are also instructed by other staff members in different theatrical disciplines. They are either teachers or performers in the skills of vocals, dance / movement, voice presence on stage, Improv and Clowning to name several. The cost of the programs when broken down are only a few dollars a day, I guarantee you  could not find any program that is a better value and that your child will get in return, so many life skills that it can only make you a very proud parent."

Tamara King is excited to join the CVDAA team. Throughout high school she worked with Michael on several shows and loved every minute of it. In 2009 she produced and directed her first original show called Already Gone with the help of CVDAA. Coming back to directing, after so many years is thrilling and she can’t wait to get back into it. She is most excited about writing again.

Working in CVDAA gives her the unique opportunity to write the plays she directs. Though more recently her writing has been prose, writing has always been a passion of hers, so any opportunity to brush up that skill is one she will readily take. Currently, she is also working at Atria Senior Living in Walnut Creek as an Engage Life Program Instructor. She wants to continue school and get her degree in Human Services. Tamara loves working with people and creating something as a team; CVDAA has provided for her the perfect place to harness both of those skills.
